Summary: nice design, refuses to work!
Comment: I bought this to have a second guitar for GH:World Tour and after countless attempts, it will not stay linked to the PS3...the lights come on and flash, but as soon as you try to use it, nothing! I first thought the batteries were weak or the base not connected to the USB port, but after fresh batteries and checking the connection it still won't work. I was going to return it but my daughter decided it's her new toy and it keeps her occupied while we're playing!

Comment: First off, the neck is wide and can be difficult to play. The buttons are smaller compared to Rock Band's guitar making it more difficult to play.
On the reciever we had to switch the knob to Guitar Hero to play Rock Band.
No on/off switch which is a plus since it shuts itself off when not in play.

Comment: I think this item is pretty-self explanatory so I will keep it quick:
Usability: I started playing these games with RB, and while I prefer RB to GH, I never liked the RB guitar. I like this guitar because it is longer than the GH one (at least the older ones) but it has the same style as the GH keys and the clickable strum bar. I don't care for the little frets either. It's also pretty comfortable (as cheap toy guitars are going to be). 3/3 stars here
Setup: not too much to do, just put in the batteries, connect the strap, and plug in that wireless base thing. The one thing I found annoying is that you have to keep it in Guitar Hero mode for it to work with RB2, at least for me. I had to Google this to get it working, or RB2 would go crazy move the cursor around like made. 0.5/1 star
Style: I love Rock Band, but if you think this plastic toys look good, you're smoking something. That being said it's as good as any other toy guitar, so I'll give it something. 0.5/1 star
I've only had this thing for a month and don't use it much (4th guitar). As long as it doesn't chew up batteries or break in the next couple years of light use, however, it was a great deal for $7 bucks.

Comment: I bought this guitar to use as an extra guitar with Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3. It works great with the game and the tilt function works too, but keep in mind that it is a bit smaller (shorter) than the new Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar. There's a switch on the usb transmitter to switch from Guitar Hero mode or Rock Band mode, so it should be compatible with Rock Band as well. As for the build quality... it does seem a bit cheaper made than the guitar that comes with the Guitar Hero world tour guitar kit. But as I said, it does work fine and some may even prefer it if they have shorter arms or just more used to the original size of the previous GH guitars. For the price, I think it's an excellent buy for a wireless guitar. Especially considering that it's compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Comment: I bought two of these on Black Friday weekend for a ridiculously low price and they are great. Action and response is equal to that of the LesPaul from GH3 on PS3(haven't played/used on Rock Band). The Fret Buttons are 1-2mm narrower than the original if you're holding the guitar vertical and are centered in the middle of the neck. I haven't noticed any problems with pressing the buttons down at all, but I've never had a problem sliding off or hitting the button partially to begin with. The strum bar clicks nicely and the response is great. The whammy bar works great too and isn't weak at all and stays put nicely.
The PS3 Button looks cool and lights up different colors to let you know which controller port you are connected. No problems with this button or the star/select buttons at all either.
My only gripes about the unit are:
The Receiver: looks cool, just like an effects pedal but why is it so freaking huge?(actual effects pedal size almost) And there is a little nob you need to use to switch back and forth between rock band and guitar hero. I've only used these units with Guitar Hero 3 on PS3.
The Strumbar: the tolerances aren't perfect so after clicking it's return to the "zero" or "center" position isn't perfect....nit picking i know...but from a fit and finish standpoint...it could be better. Never affected the performance of my playing though.
Last but not least, the size of the NECK: The neck on this guitar is larger than the standard Les Paul. I honestly didn't notice until after a couple hours of playing and switching back to the original LesPaul. By no means, did it affect my ability to play, but I have Large Hands (I'm 6'4" so you do the math) I also play regular guitar and the neck is still smaller than my real guitars. Side by side with the Les Paul it looks to be about 1/2cm wider across the fretboard but identical in depth. So it's not a big deal, but if kids are involved it could be a deal breaker...but for any normal adult I don't think it would be a problem.
That's pretty much it. Mostly little tiny things that could be improved and nothing that is a deal breaker unless you have really small hands.
Some people have commented on weight forward feeling or neck heavy feeling of this guitar and I don't really notice it to be honest. They might be too used to the Les Paul style where the weight is all in the body. The Explorer body is naturally more weight forward due to the body design...however the kramer style headstock could be weighted but I don't really notice and quite frankly, I could care less for the price I got these babies for. Hope this helps you buyers on the fence because half of the reviews on here are from idiots.
